The IPC Halogen-Free Materials Task Group has made available the third draft of the IPC White Paper on Halogen-Free Materials Used for Printed Circuit Boards and Assemblies. This draft incorporates data collected on the toxicological and environmental impacts of halogenated flame retardants and some of their known replacements, as well as information on consumer safety, product reliability, regulatory efforts and ecolabeling/marketing of the materials.
