Hi Bill,
Take a look at this site.

Here's a shortcut to their agents.

Subject: [TN] Standard Sizes for Screen Printers
To all tech netters:
I need some help trying to determine what "standard" frame sizes are for
screen printers. Up to this point all of our board designs were on the small
size and a 12" by 12" frame generally would suffice for our needs.
The "industry" tends to use the inside frame dimension for the size call
out. So, my 12" by 12" frame is actually a 14" X 14" frame when the outside
dimensions (OD) are measured. So then, is it still true that frame sizes are
called out by their inside frame dimensions?
We have a circuit board design that measures 10" by 19". From my research,
this board requires a 24" X 24" frame (OD 27" X 27"). This is because a
stencil of this size uses a foil size of 19" X 19". This foil size will fit
the stencil openings that I require. Any "standard" frame sizes smaller
will not fit the pattern we need to stencil.
In addition, we'll need a new screen printer. This one particular model
we're considering states that it can handle a frame size of up to 24.8" by
33.4". The rep for this model checked with the manufacturer and they told me
that any stencil manufacturer will make a stencil frame to fit the machine
and thereby accommodate this board size.
The frame shouldn't be any more expensive. I'm saying that this machine will
only handle a 20" X 20" "standard" frame size. I cannot find a standard
frame or any frame that will fit into the 24.8" X 33.4" opening.
My questions are:
1) Is there a frame that fits this 24.8 X 33.4 opening?
2) If there is a frame, is it considered a "standard" size?
3) Are there extra costs associated with getting a frame of this size?
Any info, websites to look at, or any other response will be greatly
appreciated!
