Hmmmm, I guess this is a "gray area" from the lack of response. It's whatever
tickles your fancy I suppose...

Myself, I don't think a partial clinch vs. straight through, makes much of a
difference as far as reliabilty...like to hear differing opinions if there
are any...

I also think that a plated barrel with two annular pads on both sides of a
flex circuit is considered to be a supported hole...I'd also like to hear
differing opinions on that...

 Couple of quick questions about flex circuits:

 1. What kind of hole on a flex circuit with a anular pad on the top and
 bottom of PTH location, and a plated barrel (even if it is only 10-mils
 tall), considered? Supported, or unsupported?

 2. Does clinching axial through hole components on a flex circuit with the
 above described flex (there's also a stiffener that is bonded to the flex
 where the components are located) buy you anything as far as solder joint
 strength? (I'm not talking a full clinch, just a partial clinch)
