Hey ya'll!

I'm wondering what it would cost to re-design a type 2C assembly to use all
SMT? I know board complexity has everything to do with the cost.

The scenario is that we build a board for a customer that has very poor
yields out of wave solder due to the design, and we're wrapping a $20.00
bill
around each board we ship because of rework and touch-up. I've done
research
on the PTH IC's that are on this assembly, and have found that they are all
available in SMT packaging.

What we want to propose to our customer is that the board needs to be
re-designed for us to be able to build it at the cost they want us to build
it for, and I've been asked to give a "ball-park" figure of what it would
cost to do that...I know there needs to be a lot more details learned about
the board to even give a ball-park cost, so I guess I'm asking if there is
anyone that might be interested in doing something like this?
