We also had problems with Kapton tape, not only with pulling off of the roll, but also when pulling off of the board after wash. The deionizers we originally used worked good when pulling off the roll, but was not present at the end of the wash where we removed the tape from the assemblies. We finally went to 3M 5419 Low static Polymide Film tape. It is more expensive, but does not create a static chage.
