1. Use a force tester to find the strength of the crimp.
2. Use UL tensile strength requirements.
3. Test at the start of each shift, change of material, change of operator at a minimum.

To my esteemed colleagues,

We had a customer visit today and the topic of "pull testing of crimped wire
terminals" came up.  We haven't been testing these formally.

Do any of you get into crimping of discrete wires and then performing a pull
test?

What equipment is required to accomplish this task.

And the all important one, to what standard should we work?
