Hi Barry!

Just to say, I'm not affiliated with the EMPF, there really isn't much out
there that can compete with them. They have the machines and equipment that
can provide much of the "hands-on" training that you don't get from "CBT"
(Computer-Based-Training), or video tapes.

But, in that aspect, there are many sources for that type of training. First
and foremost, the IPC has many, many, very good training videos.

Other sources are:

http//:www.smtplus.com

http://www.techedgeonline.com/ (which seems to be a collaboration, between
SMT PLUS, and TECHEDGE On-Line)

Bob Willis has many videos as well, at:

http://www.bobwillis.co.uk/

You have to excuse his "dance" at his homepage...hehehe...just teasing Bob!!
There's a lot of good training tapes there!

Bottom-line, there aren't too many places that I know of that have "hands-on"
facilities like the EMPF does...

You CAN have people come to your facility to train people on
equipment/processes, but you're looking at anywhere from $1,500 to 3,000 a
day, + expenses.

There are a lot of consultants on this list that do this for a living, Jim
Moffit, Ed Valentine, or Werner...but he's mostly focused on deeper
things...(don't mean to speak for any of them...hehehe)
