Hello Susan,

I believe your customer is talking about Acoustic Microscopy.  One such instrument...Scanning Laser Acoustic Microscope...or, Sono Scan.

Had an inquiry from a customer.  They had heard of an "ultra-sonic"
instrument that could detect cracks or opens in external and internal traces
on boards.  I haven't
seen anything like this - has anyone else???
