Dear all,
I see another discrepancy in my question again. The wire is not inserted both
ends to a pcb. Only one end is to be inserted, the other end is connected to
outside connector. So during wavesoldering, this one end would easily get out of
the hole.

If it is formed on both sides like an axial leaded component, I would treat
it as such and form the stripped wire on an axial lead forming machine
(component prep). You can adjust the form with a small amount of tension to
allow the wire to stay in the hole during wave solder. What awg wire are
you planning on using? Obviously, the larger the awg the better the tension
will be in the wire bend.

Dear Technetters,
Thanks for all your replies. I have left out one important thing in my
question
: NO crimped terminal is to be used after stripping. ONLY the bare stripped
wire
end is to be inserted into the pcb hole. In this way, the wire may easily be
pushed out of the hole by the wavesolder. So I want a machine to form the
stripped end in such a way that it will press against the internal wall of
the
hole to prevent the loosening. Looking for more inputs about this. Thanks.

Morning Ken,
As Phil pointed out there are plenty of machines to choose from that will
stip the wire. What I've used in the past are terminals that are crimped
onto the stripped wire. The terminal has a locking lance that holds the
wire into the PCB, provides strain relief to the wire and allows solder to
flow to all 3 elements of the connection (PCB, terminal and wire). There
are multiple sources for these types of terminals with one drawback --
tooling to perform the crimp. If you contact me offline, I can provide some
additional information.

I am looking for a machine which can strip the outer PVC sleeving at the
ends of
a wire, then form the stripped ends to such a shape that after it's inserted
into the pcb hole the wire will not lift up during wire handling and
wavesoldering.

Thanks,
KenF
