Steve,

This is fine as long as you're not the one installing the parts.  Tiny
fingers are needed to hold components with short leads.  If you are machine
inserting doesn't the system start with components on tape and reel and
therefore you will have to set your cut length to real short?  Do you need
the leads clinched?

Just one large fingered engineer's thoughts.

With all the discussion about fractured joints from trimming, I think the
thing to do to completely eliminate the problem, is to prep the components
before stuffing and waving them, so that there will be no trimming
required...
