Gary,
The Interconnection Technology Research Institute (ITRI) organization under
IPC has done work on board reliability, including small holes and microvias.
I don't remember work on buried vias, but perhaps that has been done, too.
Suggest you contact Jack Fisher at ITRI - 513/833-9930 in Austin, Texas
or through their web site - think it is "itri.org", or through the IPC site
to the ITRI site. Karen Bircher is the administrative assistant who may also
be able to help.
Denny Fritz
MacDermid.
