<< Guys,
We had a four-layer board requiring Rogers's material (R4003) on our
prototype fab. We needed about 10 boards (very small size @1"x2") but
instead we have to pay $10,000 as a lot charge. To me this is very very high
$ number so instead of getting 10 boards we ended up having 500 cards.
My question to all of you is that is it common to charge a lot for Rogers's
material or is our beloved PCB supplier gouging me.

Whew! There must be something else to the story, as Rodgers advertises R4003
as "an excellent choice for low cost microwave circuitry". Go to:
http://www.rogers-corp.com/mwu/translations/prod.htm
Might be a minimum buy deal that your fab vendor had to do, or something like
that, fab guys will know for sure...
