If you are interested in setting your line up to take advantage of the
benefits of process control:
Pull tests specifictations can be found in UL standards.
But, crip height and crip pressure are more important for reliability of the
crip termination. (Insulation in the crimp may not cause a pull test
failure.) AMP had a lot of information and provided great support. I don't
know what is happening there today.
Call me off line if you need more help. I have not spoken with my good
contacts on this subject in a couple of years.

To my esteemed colleagues,
We had a customer visit today and the topic of "pull testing of crimped wire
terminals" came up. We haven't been testing these formally.
Do any of you get into crimping of discrete wires and then performing a pull
test?
What equipment is required to accomplish this task.
And the all important one, to what standard should we work?
