<< Hi there everybody,

we missed sending anyone to the APEX exhibition this year, and are
considering whether or not to go to the Etronix exhibition. Does anyone
know what the status of this exhibition is now? Last year a number of
major suppliers didnt go to the event and went to APEX instead - is this
set to continue / get worse this year or are the companies that missed
 out last year coming back?

We went to the Elenex electronics exhibition in Australia last year and
it turned out to be a disappointment in terms of the range of electronic
assembly equipment on display, and I would hate to send anyone all the
way to LA for an exhibition where the main players werent there.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Hi Chris!

The problem with Etronix is that it is run by Reed Exhibitions...they're the
company that caused NEPCON to turn into APEX....it's a L-O-N-G story! They
have nothing to do with our industry, but still try and suck as many dollars
from us as they can... that's why APEX was created....

I have a little insite into this, I worked for Zevatech for a while, and know
what they charged to exhibit at NEPCON....it wasn't cheap, and that's why
everybody decided to exhibit at APEX rather than at NEPCON, or shows that are
run by Reed Exhibitions.
