If you are using IPC-A-610C turn to page 6-20, paragraph 6.5.1

in IPC-A-610B it will be in the soldering chapter 4 if I remember correctly.

Experts,
If I am not wrong, I still remember that once the solder joint is formed do
not cut the joint ( cutting thru wetted solder and lead). It may be OK to
cut the lead but not joint. I tired to find in IPC-A-610 in vein.

Can some one response to it?
