Steve,

In addition to everything else that has been said, and forgive me if this
has been, ..... but if you can do an aqueous clean after reflow how about
dispensing a water soluble mask .... then just wash it off afterwards!

I have used this on multiple occasions when the "design" engineer neglected
to include a solder mask/solder dams - it was no problem for him!

Have dispensed a red water soluble mask from Techform (TC-533 I think it
was), though a VERY fine needle - like 0.010-0.012" dia ID, drawing thin
lines as have been suggested.

I used a CAMELOT automatic dispenser. Only problem is having the material
'dry' on the tip of the dispense needle due to exposure to air. Bigger
diameter needles end up being more forgiving as the drying effect is less
noticeable on a percent diameter incrrease standpoint.

Just my two pence.
