Although the Appliance Recycling Bill effective April 2001 in Japan does
not specifically ban lead or halogens I have heard in Europe very recently
that a number of pieces of legislation restricting the use of certain
material were filed (but presumably not enacted?) in Japan late last year.
Does anyone know if this is correct and the list of the materials covered ?
