Hi Clavius,
The answer is NO, there has not been enough work done on the reliability of
lead-free solders. However, enough work has been done to show the same trends
apply as to near-eutectic Sn/Pb and that the answers are off by no more than
a factor of 2 to 3 in most cases.
However, in your question you imply that "HASS &/or HALT reflect a years of
field life;" neither HASS nor HALT does any such thing for either leaded or
lead-free solders. You may want to look at IPC-SM-785.
