Fischer Technology (www.fischer-technology.co/hardness ) claim to have a low
load hardness tester that can measure the hardness of thin films & layers.

I believe that AEA Technology have one of these machines & can do
subcontract testing if you don't want to buy the machine. Talk to Eirwyan
