TechNet,
We use a consultant to verify power designs and I got an interesting
question on a new design.
In selecting some connectors, the question came up "what is the comparative
tracking index # for board material (FR-4)."
Apparently, there are some formula's (IEC/UL/IEEE??) or calculations
whereby you can plug in some specific known values and the
result will place you in a range that will require certain type of
connector requirements.
I am not familiar with this at all, so if anyone can direct me to some
specific info or IEC/UL/IEEE or other documents,
I would appreciate it very much.
Tks....DT
