Cap leakage v/s pad size

We are seeing some current leakage problem on our board. One of the
abnormality is size of the pad v/s the size of the capacitor. On a foot
print for 6032 size cap, we had 1206 size cap. Can the big size pad any
impact the cap performance as pad is very big than what is suppose to be.?
Any help will be appreciated.
