Didn't Rogers suggest a suitable alternative?  (They monitor the list so you
might be getting a phone call.)

I would pass this bit of news onto your potential customer so they can
update their design drawings and procurement documents.  You may also want
to request material specifications from them while you're at it - "material
that meets or exceeds the following values . . ."  The customer didn't call
out a specific material specification?

I hit this wall plenty of times at my last gig - convert an old mil spec
into the closest IPC spec (IPC-FC-231, -232, -234, or -241) and check
suppliers (usually Rogers or Dupont) for which product fits the bill.  Once
I got to that point it's pretty simple to write-up the deviation from Mil to
IPC qualified material for the customer to sign.

I'm afraid I don't have any flex resources at my disposal to give you more
specific help.

We just had a request for Rogers Bendflex material from a customer.
Rogers reports that the material was discontinued around June 1999. Can
anyone suggest a similar substitute material for Bendflex?
