For a quick fix we have filled damaged stencil fids with quick set epoxy
that you buy at the hardware store and used a black ink pen to dye it.

Hi,

    I have also seen the problem, with the same cleaning equipment.
    To repair the fiducial and get the best contrast we use a Loctite 4501
kit.
    Today our stencil deliverer is pigmenting the metal in the half etched
fiducial mark and
it works like a dream.
