Hi

The category is based on manufacturing technology, degree of integration and
function of a component. If you prediction is based on your own field
failure data, you shall use the same classification as you have used in
field failure data collection and failure rate calculation. If your
prediction is based on some standard, you should be able to find appropriate
class to your component there, if your are familiar with electronics. I
usually find useful hints from the component specification.
