Julie,

You would want to check the drilling feeds and speeds, especially the up
feed. In addition, check quality the laminate material such as improper
cure, poor resin wet out of the fibers and the glass style in general. Also
inquire about the stack heights in the drill stack.

Good luck,

Mike Carano

Subject: [TN] drilling problems

Dear Net,

We've begun seeing glass fibers protuding into the holes on FR4 panels
recently. I'm into plating not drilling, but of course, it murders my
product. Can some one fill me in on the basics? Where should we begin
looking.

Thanks,

Julie
