Hello All

We are currently using press fit connectors for the first time and came
across something that we think is an issue. On some of the connectors we
are finding fractures running up the base of the connector. I have attached
a picture to show what I mean.

I cannot find any IPC information which relates to this. I would expect
this to fail if there was evidence of a physical crack on the connector but
can anyone tell me if this fracture will affect form fit and function of the
connector.

We know what is causing this issue and are looking to resolve it long term
but I need a short term answer............is this a pass or a fail.

Your help as always will be appreciated.

Thanks
David
