Stephen, record retention is usually spelled out in the contract with the
customer or is a part of your quality plan or company procedures. Our
retension periods vary dependent on customer contracts or company
procedures.
I hope that helps.

Subject: [TN] Industry Standard for storage of Process and Product data
I have sent several notes in the last week requesting standards or
specifications that may exist concerning guidelines for the retention of
process and product specific data. I have not recieved any answers. To me
that indicates that none exist, Jedec, IPC, Bellcore or otherwise.
If anybody has done a similar search and come up empty I would at least
appreciate a confirmation of my conclusion.
Thx.
