Jack,
I was just doing a process audit of one of our SMT areas, and
followed up with a long discussion with some of my local Fuji experts. My
understanding is that from the CP-IV on, tooling pins are not required and
are not preferred on ALL Fuji equipment. If you find that you "need"
tooling pins, my sources tell me that a lack of PM on the board handling
system is the real issue.

Hmmm, interesting thought...
We hadn't even considered changing any board designs,
since we have been running .125 minimum on 3mm pins for about a year
and no one ever complained.

We have been using .125 tooling holes for quite awhile,
but just discovered our Fuji machines use 3mm pins.

There was some discussion about what size tooling
hole is "best", so I figured I would ask you guys.
(what size in decimal with WHAT TOLERANCE?)

Hi Jack!

If you have .125" holes in all your boards, I think it would be easier to
get
some tooling pins that match your boards rather than have to go and change
all your board designs. Fuji tooling pins are changable, it's just a matter
of loosening a set-screw and putting a new pin in...any competent machine
shop should be able to make them for you.

Just a suggestion...
