The other question is are you seeing the while residue only on OSP boards?

I suspect strongly that the white residue is either Tin or Lead salts.

How many different occurances did you see?

If this is a one shot occurance, it could easily be solder sludge on top of
the Solder in the wave machine.

If not, it could be a reaction of the OSP with your flux.

I suspect it is removeable with a cleaner, but is it doing the work to find
that cleaner, for a small fraction of what you have to run?
