Has anyone ever tried to run a tape punch on a Win NT 4.0 system, can this
be done? Or, should I just have the 'big guys' but a DNC server for the NC
router and be done with it.

The last punch setup I used had an IBM PS2 with a proprietary 8-bit card -
nothing that would fit in the new PIII boxes.
