Yves, Q-charts are described in SPC Methods for Quality Improvement by Charles Quesenberry. They entail plotting Q statistics, rather than the traditional mean, range, number of defects, etc. There were some rancorous discussions of their merits during the fall of 1998 in Quality Progress. The first 30-35 pages of the book give a lot of good information about general quality improvement practices. Lou Hart 412-858-6184

Subject: [TN] Q-charts

There was a posting on this list a while ago concerning Q-charts in SPC (no
replies I believe). I have not had much luck locating info on Q-charts. Does
anyone know if they have another name ? Or can an online reference be
suggested ?
