Dave,

A device we use that is quick and easy is a PCB through hole eyepiece (kind of ironic, yes...~grin~) Sometimes called a prism eyepiece. Any supplier of optical devices for
electronics should be able to direct you to a source. This device uses a prism lens that splits the through hole into 9 images each a an oblique angle for viewing the holl
wall. It's a real quick way to confirm hole wall quality.
