Steve,
The last character is labeled "special consideration" and usually denotes
color. I've never heard of GEE.
GE is G-10 (M13949/3), GF is FR-4 (M13949/4). Most of the time, I've heard
the two terms used interchangeably, although the materials folks out there
probably know the REAL difference. All I know is that IPC-4101 lists GE
with a minimum Tg of 100C and GF with a minimum of 110C.

Subject: [TN] Mil laminate designations...
Hi all!!
What does the last "E" in the Mil designation type "GEE" laminate stand for?
I though it was the color...for instance "GEN" would be a G-10 natural
color,
right?
Also, is there any real difference in "GE" vs. "GF" laminate material?
Thanks!
-Steve Gregory-
