You haven't said anything about what frequency you need, but if it's a few
hundred kHz or less, the popular ICL 8038 may do it for you.  It has
triangle, square, and sine wave outputs, and is fairly easy to hook up.  I
think it originally was an Intersil chip, and was later picked up by Harris.
The Harris databooks had good circuit applications info.  I know that at one
time this part used to be available through Radio Shack, and it came with a
datasheet and wiring info.  It's also probably in the Digi-Key or Mouser
catalogs.  I had the best results with it when I buffered the outputs
through a unity gain op-amp.
