Dave, if you cannot find anything else, the old ball bearing taped to the
bottom-side of the hole trick might help in the short term. ie. tape a ball
bearing to one side of the hole and illuminate and look into the opposite
side with a microscope. You will get a fish eye view of the entire inside of
the hole. It's what we used in the olden days.
