Howdy Hans!

We are currently using an Olympus D620-L with assorted attachments.

We use a set of macro lenses (+1, +2, +4) in various combinations. One caveat here--the camera is 43mm thread and the lenses are 46mm thread, but we could not locate a 43-46 step up ring, so we are using a 43-49, 49-46 step up/down combination.

We are also using an LE-Adapter from Stillwater Trading Co. (www.stillwtr.com) with a 43-52 step up ring and a standard stereo scope. The caveat here is that to take the pictures well, you have to look through the view finder of the camera and focus the thing manually as if the whole contraption were a monocular scope. Then you have to crop out stuff you don't want from the picture using your friendly neighborhood software package.

I put some examples in a driveway folder, but haven't yet figured out how to share them with the community at large. Steve gave me some tips, but they haven't worked yet. I will send you the url when I figure it out so you can see some examples.

Greetings Technet.

I remember there were a few postings regarding the use of regular personal digital cameras on a microscope. Can anyone recommend any brands that's capable of being used with a microscope...and also taking macro pictures?

Thanks,

Hans Shin
