Hi Jean-Paul,

Where I work we build military communications equipment with plastic BGA's, to be used in vehicles with extreme requirements for shock and vibration. I've seen some ceramic BGA's for fighter-planes' boardcomputers (not on FR4, of course).

PS: no need to quote qualification / reliability test programs since many of
those have been talked about in the public domain (e.g. JPL's BGA consortium)
