I believe there are no applicable IPC standards for this. However, common sense
would dictate that in order to ensure proper fragmentation, you should make the
pieces one half the size of your smallest disk sector. 32 kB seems to be
standard, so about 16 kB would be fine. Plus or minus 10%, unless your company
manufactures to MIL specifications...
