6012 and 6013 can be used in place of the military documents.  6013 has
requirements for both rigid and rigid-flex in it.  Requirements in each are
basically the same as the military, including test plans.

My only concern and this has been made very clear to me in the last 6 months
or so since "a lot" of people have been substituting IPC docs for military is
-
there is no oversight body and board shops consider it to be the buyer's
responsibilty to make certain the boards are compliant.  If you do put the
IPC docs on your drawings, DO NOT ASSUME THAT A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE
MEANS THAT ALL THERMAL STRESS TYPE TESTING HAS BEEN PERFORMED.

Of course that may sound like I am putting a plug in for your local test lab,
but just
a word to the wise.
