While on the subject of castellations, what do most of you do with
castellations that are gold plated?  I have only seen them with gold plating
and removing the gold can be a two step process.  One to remove the gold and
the other to level the solder on the bottom to allow setting on the pad.  At
least in my experience, I had to do that.  My experience has been limited
when it comes to castellations.  These were handed placed and soldered in a
rework environment.  Jon
