Hi Jim!

As you can see from the pictures I have up, I've got exposed copper all along
those edges where they want a fillet, plus all them via's in that grounding
pad to suck all the solder down during reflow...so it's next to impossible to
get any decent fillets.

There is plenty of paste beneath the part, so I assume there's a good ground
connection from the device to the board....just don't have nice pretty
fillets along the sides. Is it really that important that there be the side
fillets along the body for the device to work?

The reason I ask is because we've been building this board for as long as
I've been here (hundreds and hundreds of boards) and this is the first time
this problem has popped-up. Nothing has changed in the process over this time.

I use a 6-mil stencil because there's 0402 components all over the board too.

I believe what started everything was that a technician said that he was
having problems tuning the board, and he said that the problem was because
there was no side fillets on the bodies of these couplers.

BTW, there isn't anything on the drawing that calls this out.
