Hi Ken,

We have dealt with many components such as your transformer. We usually see
a high temperature mylar "kapton" tape used to provide a flat pickup
surface. This tape is compatible with reflow and cleaning processes, and
remains on the component after reflow with no ill affects. The tape can
also be printed so as to serve as a label as well.
