hi,

the parylene material you start with is a relatively simple dimer. whether you get it from scs (used to be union carbide), or you get the italian material (galxyl). it should all be the same. like aspirin from sav-on or aspirin from bayer.

Subject: [TN] Parylene C

This is a question for all you people who are coating with Parylene C (all 4
of you <grin>)

There are three different manufacturers of Parylene C on the 'ol QPL and I
would like to be able to use any one of them in my machines. We have a Para
Tech and an SCS machine. We currently use the Para Tech material in the Para
Tech machine and you guessed it, SCS in the SCS.

I know I can go through a qualification of each material in each machine but
if someone out there in TechNet land has already done that it would make my
job a lot easier.

Thanks for any help on this,

Ken Bloomquist
