The word is "Melonite" which is a trademark of Kolene Corporation in
Detroit, Michigan. Melonite is a salt bath used to nitride coat carbon
steels used for tooling and dies.

and Nozzles
Have not heard of Malonite, but there used to be an American ceramic product
called Malinite, but I can hardly believe
that it is that to which Frank is referring (it is a ceramic based on talc
to which the glaze can be co-fired, saving a
lot on cost for cheap dinner services, now owned, I believe, by Wedgwood -
original 1930s Malinite pottery is a much
sought-after collector's item so, if you have any, you may be rich).
However, if what Frank has stated is right, I think
it important that we should know about it.
