We should point out loudly and clearly that the alternatives we are
forced to use are mostly much worse for the environment (at least
globally seen. Perhaps you can catch the politicians with the
"correctness" of decisions which lead to more pollution, more
ecological and later social problens in these third world countries
where the alloy components come from).

Perhaps we can demystify the marketing blahblah of some big consumer
electronic manufacturers "the first lead free mini disc player" - the
end user, not the industry needs to be informed that he doesn't help
the environment if he purchases a lead-free product, because it is
probably worse then before.

But I feel (as far as I see here in Europe) now it is much too late
to stop or even to slow down the lead-free train.
