Hi Hans!
Here's a paste of the post I made a week or so ago:
Hi Larry and John!
Like Mike Sewell said, I used a digital camera and a microscope. We do have
an ERSA scope here, but the one drawback that I've seen so far is that it
saves the images in a 640 X 480 resolution. This images are much clearer on
the monitor that what you'll see in a saved picture...gonna' talk with ERSA
about that.
But what I use is a FUJIFILM MX-600ZOOM and it has 1280 X 1024 resolution. It
also has a color LCD in the back of the camera so that I can see exactly what
my lense sees when I want to take a picture. I put my camera in Macro mode,
turn the flash off, and then like Mike said, focus the microscope on what I
want to take a picture of,
take the rubber eyepiece "thingie" off of one microscope eyepiece so I can
put the lense of my camera right up to the microscope eyepiece, look at the
LCD on the back of my camera until I see what I want to take a picture of
(that can be kinda' tricky sometimes), say "cheese" and snap the picture.
I then download the picture and import it into Paintshop Pro to crop out all
but what I need...that's because a full 1280 X 1024 can be close to 3-megs!!
YOWZA!!
