Good morning everyone!
I am wondering if anyone knows of any "documented" Outgoing quality figures
for electronic assemblies? Ex. (**yield = 1000 units shipped to customer -
2 units returned from customer because of a nonconformance = 99.8% yield.)
We have historically found the following (these are general figures):
Visual inspection only (no ICT or functional testing) - 90% yield**
Visual inspection + ICT (MDA only) - 96% yield**
Visual inspection + ICT (MDA only) + bench style functional test - 99%
yield**
Visual inspection + ICT/Functional Test - 99.5% yield**
Do these "general" figures appear to be within an acceptable "industry"
standard? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich
