In a former life (Commercial Avionics/Military Avionics) we tried using LCCC's with miserable results. We used them on FR4 and Teflon PCB's. After only several hundred temperature cycles (-55C to 85C @ < 5C/min), the solder joints would crack. We stopped using them as fast as we could get new parts spec'ed and PCB's relayed out for compliant pin packages.

Greetings,
Is anybody out there using leadless ceramic chip carriers in a military environment without attaching leads? If so, what size are you using?
Thanks in advance for any information,
Bill Robinson
