Hi Steve,

    Having had some experience with NASA and space electronics in the past on
Space Shuttle and Lunar Rover, I agree with the other respondents that the
multiple inspections and paperwork files are things to be reckoned with. If you
have a good relationship with your source inspector, you won't sweat too much.
But the goods will be perfect before they are bought off.

    We had a few special people in a special room with dedicated test equipment
for the NASA hardware. but it went well.

    One other aspect of your proposed endeavor is the satisfaction when the
items are completed and you know that you have built the best and it will last
for years and years. It is the best of Class 3 and to do it you will have to be
at your finicky, meticulous best. When your hardware is flying flawlessly in
space, you will feel really, really proud.
