WD 40 and variants are indeed handy solvents, and here comes the but
... the solvents dry off OK leaving oily residue penetrated into all
sorts of places. This will give you a nasty flypaper effect at best.
At worst they are acidic. Probably OK in reducing the odd bit of
corrosion on a stuck nut, but not desirable on a PCB.
